PALMELA OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES IN LISBON

Palmela, a Private Office providing Trust, Corporate Services, Alternative Asset Structuring, and Private Client Finance services, has expanded their European operations with a new office in Lisbon.

 On 20 January 2023, founders Tom Meganck and Blake Noah welcomed Lisbon’s growing local finance and arts community to their new office space, shared with DOCUMENT gallery. Guests enjoyed wine from Quinta do Quetzal and an exhibition of the work of contemporary artist John Opera.

The expansion follows closely on the heels of Palmela’s recent grand opening in London’s prestigious Mayfair district. Their presence in the UK and Europe—with additional offices to be opened in the near future—solidifies the team’s commitment to Private Wealth clients across jurisdictions. Palmela’s Lisbon office will serve a wide range of client needs, including Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Fund Solutions; Alternative Asset Structuring; and International Private Wealth Planning.

Palmela’s recent growth has not been limited to geography. The firm recently welcomed Senior Executive Jean-Luc Gustave, LLM to the team. Jean-Luc is a business leader and tech lawyer with deep experience advising corporations and funds on their innovation and digital asset strategies. He also served as the head of innovation and business strategy at a $500m family office-owned private equity fund. At Palmela, Jean-Luc will spearhead initiatives for growth and profitability, both for Palmela and its clients. 

The close-knit team is also actively seeking a General Manager for Palmela SA, a Luxembourg Trust Company, as well as a Marketing & Operations intern in Lisbon. Palmela plans to further expand operations in the near term with a Luxembourg office and additional opportunities abroad, including partnerships in Asia Pacific.
